DTN COMMENTS:  A few bids are now on the table in parts of Kansas, with 
some early asking prices noted around $235 to $237 in the South. Although 
we may see packer inquiries continue to improve today, significant trade 
volume will likely be delayed until Thursday and/or Friday. 

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 352.47 +1.22, select 350.77 -
0.31) with moderate box movement (63.12 lds of choice cuts, 6.90 lds of 
select cuts, 4.01 lds of trim, and 13.04 lds of ground). Both live and 
feeder cattle futures are sharply lower at this time.
