NEGOTIATED PURCHASES SUMMARIES BELOW

DTN COMMENTS:  Formula totals for last week were mixed significantly higher 
in Nebraska, higher in Kansas, but lower in Texas: KS 71,950(+4,780), NE 
57,562 (+13,037), TX 57,331(-1,855). Total trade volume were also mixed 
higher in Kansas and Nebraska, but lower in Texas:  KS 76,340(+3,794), NE 
74,826(+5,980), TX 59,098(-3,407). New showlists appear to be lower in all 
major feeding states. Bids and asking prices have yet to be established, and 
significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the second half of the 
week.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (Choice 380.49 +0.65, Select 376.48 +2.17), 
with very light box movement (21.97 lds of choice cuts, 3.26 lds of select 
cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 4.53 lds of ground). At the top of the noon hour 
both live and feeder issues are mostly moderately to sharply lower.
