DTN COMMENTS:  A light trade is being reported in parts of the South at 
$242 to $245, $3 to $6 higher than last week's weighted averages. A few 
dressed bids are on the table in Nebraska at midday, but so far, they are 
being passed. Asking prices are around $382 to $385 in the North, and 
$245-plus in the South.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 369.91 +2.66, select 363.85 
+3.48) with light box movement (24.90 lds of choice cuts, 4.58 lds of 
select cuts, 6.37 lds of trim, and 2.11 lds of ground). Both live and 
feeder cattle futures are sharply to significantly higher at midday.
